Call to Order
First Nations Land Acknowledgement
20 Attendees
Guest Speaker: EliSavit, Prosecuting Attorney, Washtenaw County, Candidate for Michigan Attorney General.
**The office of Attorney General and Secretary of State are nominated at the State Convention on April 19th 2026. Please attend, your membership must be current. These positions are vital to holding off the Trump administration, so we need to be sure strong candidates are nominated. There will be busses available to ride if you don’t want to drive.

Approve Agenda-*Motion to approve agenda carried.
Approve Minutes- 8/13/2025 Minutes Motion to approve, passed.
Financial Report- See attached Budget and treasurers report. Helen reviewed in Larry’s absence, Helen corrected State and Admin accounts and report to reflect an error made in deposits.
Membership Report: See attached report, We currently have 141 members,but have lost 14 members since August. There is new software or App (Application) coming to help manage membership, we anxiously await this improvement.
Chair Report:See new business.
CD4 Report (Billboard) Information and donation forms were handed out. The next Billboard will be near Wayland on 131 and will target Farmers and how MAGA policies have destroyed their businesses.

Allegan County Fair: Helen briefed us on our Fair experinces this year. We had an amazing response, much better than expected, we only had one incident with a very angry man, the police dispatched the problem quickly. We gave almost all of the gunlocks away and received a very positive response from Fair goers about the program.
Update on Candidates: Helen updated some local candidate news.
Candidate Time: Zack Shinabargar, running for the 39th House Seat, also attended this evening.
Signs & Tee shirts: We will be getting new shirts with new designs, details soon.
Petitions: Helen reviewed each petition, we also had petitions at the meeting to sign. If you haven’t signed the 3 Distill petitions please look into them here: MI Ballot Petitions – Distill Social. When you are ready to sign, the office will be open Wed 10am-1pm and Sat 10am-1pm. Bring your friends!

NEW BUSINESS
7:00PM
No Kings Rally, October 18, 11:00: We reviewed our plans for the rally on Saturday.
Newletter: Rebecca updated us on the newsletter. Everyone is enjoying the information.
Polling:We discussed hiring a firm to conduct a poll in Allegan County. The date should be in February, will a cost between $7500 and $8000.
Allegan Forward:We will be getting an area organizer for the CD4, with a local office.
Billboard Messaging: The second Billboard is going up near Wayland and will focus on Farmers.
Jocelyn Benson Endorsement: We are indorsing Joclyn Benson for Govenor. Duggen, who is running for Govenor as an Independant, is receiving big endorsements. Its important that we put our efforts behind one candidate and begin to campaign against him as soon as possible.
Chicago Indivisable:Will be helping us knock doors next campaign season. This will be an amazing opportunity to really canvass Allegan County.
